The world famous Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs is a 35-minute drive; the resort hosts an annual PGA tournament and serves as the summer training camp for the NFLs New Orleans Saints. Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort, the largest skiing complex in the mid-Atlantic states, is a scenic two-hour drive to the north. The 75-mile long Greenbrier River Trail, which parallels the river, is popular with hikers and bikers.
